COUNTY OF WAITEMATA
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council,
pursuant to the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
proposes to execute a certain public work, namely the pro-
vision of a recreation ground fronting to State Highway No.
16 at Whenuapai, and for this public work the land in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken. A plan of the land
so required is deposited in the Council Offices at 68–70 Greys
Avenue, Auckland 1, and at the District Office, Te Atatu,
where it is open for inspection during ordinary office hours.
Every person directly affected shall set forth in writing any
objection he may wish to make to the taking of the said
land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of
compensation, and shall send the written objection within 40
days after the first publication of this notice to the Town
and Country Planning Appeal Board.

land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume

This land is situated on the western side of State Highway
No. 16 and adjoins the Whenuapai Bus Depot.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SANITARY DRAINAGE
PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council
under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes
to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for sanitary
drainage purposes.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required
to be taken is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County
Council, Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga and may
there be inspected without fee during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected and objecting to the execution of the
works or the taking of the land, not being an objection to
the amount of compensation, shall state their objection in
writing and send the same to the County Clerk, Tauranga
County Council, Private Bag, Tauranga, within 40 days
from the first publication of this notice. If any objection is
made, a public hearing of the said objection will be held,
unless the objector requires otherwise, and each objector

MARLBOROUGH COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT application be made to the Local Authorities Loans
Board for authority to borrow under the provisions of the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the sum of two hundred
thousand dollars ($200,000) at a rate not exceeding 4¾% for
a period of 25 years, for the purposes of making advances to
farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1939,
and that for the purpose of providing interest on and repay-
ment of the $200,000, a special rate of point nought nought
nought four six six (.000466) cents in the dollar, be levied
on the land value of the whole of the rateable property
within the County of Marlborough, and that the special rate
be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such a
loan.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL—MAURICEVILLE RIDING

PURSUANT to section 13 (2) of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the rate-
payers of the Mauriceville Riding of the County of Masterton,
taken on the 12th day of December 1973 on the proposal
of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $25,000
to be known as the Mauriceville East Hall Loan for the
purpose of constructing a new hall at the Mauriceville School,
resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the loan were ......... 135
The number of votes recorded against the loan were ....... 143
The number of informal votes were ........................... 3

I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.

WORK

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council
proposes, under the provisions of section 20 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1952, to change the purpose for which
the land described below is held.

The land affected has an area of approximately 2 roods
and 1.4 perches, being Lots 3 and 4, D.P. 10925 of Allot-
ment 1, Parish of Whangarei, being the whole of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1035,
folio 24, North Auckland Land Registry and situated in
Cafler Avenue, Whangarei.

The land is held for parking places and the proposed use
is for municipal purposes (Civic Centre Development).

All persons affected by the proposed change of purpose
and who have any objections thereto must state their objec-
tions in writing and send them within 40 days from the date
of the first publication of this notice to the General Manager,
Whangarei City Council, P.O. Box 42, Whangarei. The final
day for the receipt of objections will be 16 February 1974.
