RAGLAN TOWN SEWERAGE SCHEME

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction
of an oxidation pond, to wit a sanitary work and for the
purposes of that public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the lands so required to be
taken are deposited at the offices of the Raglan County
Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, and there open
for inspection; all persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or by the taking of the said land or by
the construction of the said oxidation pond should, if they
have any objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land or to the construction of
the said oxidation pond, not being objections to the
amount or payment of compensation, set forth same in
writing and send the written objection within forty (40) days
of the first publication of this notice to the office of the
council; and if any objection is made in accordance with this
notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless
the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be
advised of the time and place of the hearing.

CHRISTCHURCH REGIONAL PLANNING AUTHORITY
SUMMIT ROAD PROTECTION

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Summit Road (Canterbury)
Protection Act, the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority
hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be protected land in the terms of that Act.

The subdivision of any such land into lots of a lesser area
than 10 acres, quarrying on or in any such land, and the
erecting, placing, repair, modification, or extension of any
structure on any such land, and the planting of any tree
thereon, is prohibited except in so far as it is approved
pursuant to section 6 or section 10 of that Act.

Generally this declaration concerns Government works on
protected land, subject to the provisions of the Summit Road
(Canterbury) Protection Act, and more particularly is that
land between Gebbies Pass and Evans Pass, from the summit
of the Port Hills to a contour line 100 ft below the Summit
Road and extending some distance down Dyers Pass Road,
and extends the protection to include Crown land within those
limits.

SCHEDULE

LAND DECLARED PROTECTED

ALL these pieces of land in the City of Christchurch, the
Borough of Lyttleton, and the Counties of Pararua, Heath-
cote, Mount Herbert, and Wairewa, delineated on the plans
numbered S.O. 10134 and 10135, deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and therein coloured red,
blue, or yellow.

ROTOAIRA TROUT FISHING REGULATIONS 1959
CLOSED SEASON—POUTU STREAM

PURSUANT to regulation 30 of the Rotoaira Trout Fishing
Regulations 1959, the trustees hereby give notice that fishing
for trout in the following areas is prohibited absolutely as
from the day following publication of this notice until the
1st day of December 1973:

(i) That portion of the Poutu Stream between Lake
Rotoaira and the head of the waterfall.

(ii) That portion of the Poutu Canal between Lake
Rotoaira and the Poutu Dam that does not form
part of the Poutu Stream.

(iii) Those portions of the streams running into the Poutu
Stream between Lake Rotoaira and the Poutu Dam
as become suitable for fishing or spawning as a
result of the raising of the level of the lake.
