Boundaries of Christchurch Drainage District Altered

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 3 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that on 1 October 1973 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and I also proclaim and declare that the said area shall be added to the Paparua subdistrict of the Christchurch Drainage District.
SCHEDULE
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Paparua County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Shands Road in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6836, and proceeding north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 1239; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to its southernmost point and continuing south-easterly along a right line aligned on the western- most point of Rural Section 1238 to the middle of Springs Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to a line bearing 96° 12' 30" from the southernmost point of Lot 1, D.P. 14615; thence westerly along that line to the easternmost point of Rural Section 40249 and continuing westerly along the southern boundary of that section to its western end; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that section to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 30283; thence westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Shands Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to the point of commencement.

At the Government House at Wellington this 10th day of September 1973

Pursuant to section 5 of the Historic Places Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints Sir Alister Donald McIntosh, K.C.M.G., to be the Chairman of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust for a term of office expiring on 31 March 1976.

Pursuant to section 12 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be set apart as a special area.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that area of land in the Fiordland National Park, Southland Land District, known as Solander Island and Little Solander Island, together with outlying islets, containing by estimates 120 hectares, approximately, and situated at 46° 34' S latitude and 166° 54' E longitude.

SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—FIORD COUNTY
All that area of land in the Fiordland National Park, Southland Land District, Fiord County, known as Secretary Island, containing approximately 8980 hectares and bounded as follows; on the north-east by Thompson Sound; on the south-west by Doubtful Sound, and on the north-west by the Tasman Sea.
