NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for continuation of the following approvals of the Minister of Customs:

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 13 September 1973.
Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item and description of the goods concerned, be addressed to the
Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:
(a) The quality, range, supply, etc., of the above-described goods produced in New Zealand; and
(b) The landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v., and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight, exchange, and other landing
charges, duty, etc., of equivalent goods of overseas origin.

Excluding:
(A) Portable air compressing outfits of a capacity from 60 to 250 cubic feet per minute at pressures from 80–125 p.s.i. normal working pressure
(B) Stationary, single stage, reciprocating compressors and compressing outfits of a capacity of 2 to 42 cubic feet displacement per minute at pressures up to 200 p.s.i.
(C) Compressors peculiar to use on motor vehicles
REQUESTED APPROVAL:
Compressors and compressing outfits, air, portable or stationary, including air receivers imported with and forming part thereof:
Excluding:
(A) Portable air compressing outfits of a capacity from 60–265 c.f.m. free air delivered (F.A.D.) at 100 p.s.i. at inlet condition of 14.7 p.s.i. and 70°F temperature
(F.A.D. defined by B.S.1571:1949)
(B) Stationary, single stage, reciprocating compressors (other than carbonring dry cylinder oil-free air types) and compressing outfits of a capacity of 2 to 42 cubic feet piston displacement per minute at pressures up to 200 p.s.i.

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
