PURSUANT to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 27 July 1973, declared the under-mentioned specification to be a standard specification.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation
NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand standard specifications listed in the Schedule hereto have been reviewed by committees of the Standards Council and have been recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.
Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 24 August 1973.
SCHEDULE

NZS 1313: 1957 (BS 2554: 1954) Sedimentation tubes for red blood corpuscles.
NZS 2135: 1966 (BS 3491: 1962) Sizes of medical X-ray film. Metric and imperial units.
NOTE—A later edition of each of these British standards has been recommended for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated:

DZ 1999 Draft amendment to NZS 1999: 1965 Safety requirements for electric room heaters.
NOTE—When issued, the amendment will delete references to NZS 1256: 1955 Fireguards for heating appliances, which has been revoked, and will draw attention to the Fireguards Regulations 1958 which fully cover requirements for fireguards.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon, may, on application, obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 31 August 1973.
