Plant Declared a Noxious Weed Under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Mangonui (No. 529 Ag. 20649A)
PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order, made by the Mangonui County Council on the 27th day of June 1973, is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
“That in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Mangonui County Council hereby resolves by way of special order to declare the plant Water Fern (Salvinia, all species) to be a noxious weed within Mangonui County as from the 1st day of August 1973.”

Amending the Foreshore Licence Authorising Ferro-Cement Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Boat Building Shed and Slipway at Lucas Creek, Greenhithe, Waitemata Harbour
PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation authorised by the Minister of Transport pursuant to section 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give notice that the licence of 30 January 1967* authorising Ferro-Cement Ltd. to occupy a site for a boat-building shed and slipway at Lucas Creek is amended by deleting the words “boatbuilding shed and”.

Environmental Impact Report Notified Rangipo Power Project
THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on the Rangipo Power Project, being part of the Tongariro Power Development Scheme. Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the Rangipo project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12042, Wellington, until Friday, 24 August 1973.
Copies of the Rangipo Report may be obtained at Government Printing Office bookshops.

The Timber Preservation Regulations 1955—Amendment to Branding and Identification of Preservative Treated Timber
PURSUANT to regulation 12 of the Timber Preservation Regulations 1955*, the Timber Preservation Authority hereby gives notice that the Branding and Identification of Preservative Treated Timber Notice, as published in the Gazette of 18 August 1972, is amended by revoking subclause (4) of clause 2 and substituting the following subclause:
“(4) In the case of timber treated for building timbers in moderate decay hazard situations, to comply with T.P.A. Commodity Specification C.7, an additional brand in the form of an “E” is to be placed immediately after the plant number as required in clause 1 above.”
The provisions of this notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
