PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R
- (1) This order may be cited as the Alexandra Local Agricultural Pest Order 1973.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after its notification in the Gazette. - The opossum is hereby declared to be a pest of local importance in the Alexandra Pest Destruction District.

Remuneration of the Public Trustee for the Administration of the Howard Estate

THE HON. M. A. CONNELLY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 6 of the Howard Estate Act 1919, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby determine that, from and after the 1st day of July 1972, the Public Trustee for the administration of the Howard Estate shall be entitled to remuneration at the rate of $3,000 per annum together with all expenses and disbursements incurred by him in the administration of the estate.

Conferring Jurisdiction on the Maori Land Court

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers on the Maori Land Court jurisdiction to hear and determine any claims to the ownership or possession or custody of certain wood carvings and other artifacts presently incorporated or situated in the carved house at Koriniti known as Poutama or situated in the storeshed adjacent thereto which carvings and other artifacts were associated with the former carved house known as Poutama and situated at Koriniti on the Ohotu 5B1A Block.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be set apart as a special area.
SCHEDULE
Otago Land DistrictโLake County
ALL that area of land in Mount Aspiring National Park, Otago Land District, Lake County, containing 4,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the left bank of the Bride Burn with the right bank of the Dart River, Humbolt Survey District, and proceeding generally southerly along the right bank of that river to a point due west of the intersection of the right bank of the Cascade Stream with the left bank of the Dart River; thence due west to the leading ridge between Cosmos Peaks; thence generally northerly along that ridge and the ridge bounding the western watershed of the Bride Burn to a point due north of the source of that burn; thence due south to that source; thence generally southerly along the left bank of the Bride Burn to the point of commencement.

Bruce County Council Appointed to Manage Wangaloa Cemetery

PURSUANT to section 23 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint the Bruce County Council to have the control and management of the Wangaloa Cemetery, being the land described in the Schedule hereto, as from the 31st day of July 1973.

WANGALOA CEMETERY
ALL those pieces of land containing together 1 rood and 1.2 perches, more or less, and being Section 13 (formerly part Section 8), Section 14 (formerly part closed road), and Section 15 (formerly part Section 8), Block VII, Coast Survey District.

Taieri County Council Appointed to Manage Allanton (Grey) Cemetery
