(n) For beer sold in bottles containing 1 quart: the
authorised price per bottle ruling at the particular
premises on 29 June 1973, increased by 3 cents
per bottle.
(o) For beer sold in a container other than those specified
in (a) to (i) above, the maximum price shall be that
lawfully being charged on 29 June 1973 or such
other price as the Tribunal may from time to time
authorise.

FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF SPIRITS SOLD IN PUBLIC BARS
7. Subject to the provisions of this order, the maximum
price that may be charged shall be—
(a) For each standard measure of spirits sold in public bars
in premises licensed under the Sale of Liquor Act
1962.

(b) For spirits sold in public bars in the premises of any
Licensing Trust, the price lawfully being charged
on 29 June 1973.

  1. An additional charge shall not be made for aerated water
    or cordial added to spirits sold in public bars but aerated
    water may be sold by the bottle as a separate transaction.

FIXING THE MAXIMUM PRICES OF BEER SOLD FOR
CONSUMPTION OFF THE LICENSED PREMISES
9. Subject to the provisions of this order, the maximum price
that may be charged for beer sold for consumption off the
licensed premises shall be—
(a) For beer sold in bottles containing 1 quart: the
authorised price per bottle ruling at the particular
premises on 29 June 1973, increased by 3 cents
per bottle.
(b) For beer sold in flagons, 86 cents, except that in those
areas where additional freight costs are incurred in
obtaining supplies of draught beer, the price of beer
sold in flagons shall be the authorised price ruling
at the particular premises on 29 June 1973.
(c) The additional charge for flagons supplied by the licensee
shall be the amount that was lawfully charged at the
particular premises on 29 June 1973.
(d) No additional charge shall be made where an empty
flagon is supplied by the customer.

GENERAL
10. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of
the order and subject to such conditions, if any, as it thinks fit,
the Tribunal, on application by the licensee of any licensed
premises may authorise special maximum prices in respect of
any beer or spirits to which this order applies where special
circumstances exist or for any reason extraordinary charges
(freight or otherwise) are incurred by the applicant. Any
authority given by the Tribunal under this clause shall be
exhibited in the manner prescribed by clause 11 hereof.

  1. Every licensee or manager of licensed premises, shall keep
    this Price Order or a statement of the retail prices prominently
    displayed—
    (a) In the public bar, and
    (b) In every place on the premises where draught beer in
    flagons, and bottled beer in bottles containing 1 quart,
    is sold for consumption off the premises, in such a
    position as to be easily read by customers without
    having to ask for its production and without having
    to obtain permission to examine it.

Price of Beer Sold in Bottles or Cans

PURSUANT to the Stabilisation of Prices Regulations 1972*,
the Price Tribunal hereby fixes the maximum prices of beer
sold in bottles or cans in—
(i) hotels and taverns licensed under the Sale of Liquor
Act 1962, and
(ii) Licensing Trusts

as follows with effect from 30 June 1973:

  1. In respect of sales in bars, other than public bars,
    the price that could lawfully be charged on 29 June 1973
    increased:
    (a) For quart bottles by 3 cents per bottle.
    (b) For pint bottles by 2 cents per bottle.
    (c) For cans by 2 cents per can.

  2. In respect of sales in bottle stores, of less than whole-
    sale quantities, the price that could lawfully be charged
    on 29 June 1973 increased:
    (a) For pint bottles by 2 cents per bottle.
    (b) For cans by 2 cents per can.
