Notice Under Section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940
PURSUANT to section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby prescribes as follows:
(a) The thirty-fourth investment period during which investments by way of deposits in investment accounts may be made shall be the period of 1 year commencing on the 1st day of July 1973 and ending on the 30th day of June 1974;
(b) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, the rate of interest to be paid on such investments made during such investment period shall be 3½ percent per annum;
(c) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, moneys invested as aforesaid during such investment period shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1976, provided that where interest is not withdrawn by the investor in accordance with section 8 (2) of the said Act and is added to and becomes part of the principal moneys of the investor under section 8 (3) of the said Act, the amount of such interest, together with any interest thereon, shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1975.

Notice Under Section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940
PURSUANT to section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby authorises the Boards of Trustees of the under-mentioned savings banks (being savings banks established under the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948) to receive investments by way of deposits in investment accounts under the said Act during the investment period commencing on the 1st day of July 1973 and ending on the 30th day of June 1974:

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for lighthouse purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT-GOLDEN BAY COUNTY
Two hundred and forty-two decimal eight one one four hectares (600 acres), more or less situated at the extremity of Farewell Spit bounded towards the north-east and south-west by high waterline on the shore of the said spit and towards the west-north-west by a line drawn at right angles to a line bearing west-north-west from Bush End Point and distant therefrom 16,000 links, together with a road 1 chain wide along the whole length of the said spit in order to render the said reserve available, the same being all the land described in New Zealand Gazette, 1869, p. 231.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Balance of a Road Reserve, Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for road purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Hawera Borough Council in such manner, at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.
