Declaring an Easement Over Land Taken for Post Office Purposes (Radio Terminal Site) in the City of New Plymouth

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, an easement is hereby taken for post office purposes (radio terminal site) over the land described in the Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, reconstruct, inspect, cleanse, repair, renew, and maintain a line of pipes along, under, or over the said land, and to use the said line of pipes for the unimpeded conveyance of storm water, such easement to be appurtenant to the land described in the Schedule of the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of July 1959, published in Gazette, 30 July 1959, Vol. II, p. 1030, and registered as No. 103371, Taranaki Land Registry, from and after the 5th day of February 1973.

Validating Proceedings in Connection with the Bay of Islands County Council's Loan of $40,000

WHEREAS the Bay of Islands County Council has commenced proceedings for raising a loan of $40,000 to be known as the “Kerikeri Public Library Loan 1971”;

And whereas the said Council has prepared a special roll in respect of the part of its district which is to receive the benefit of the said loan;

And whereas the said proceedings are irregular or defective in that, contrary to regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Loans Regulations 1957, the said Council made application to the Local Authorities Loans Board for sanction to the said loan before the said special roll had been authenticated;

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity or defect and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 15 of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1971), the Minister of Finance hereby declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid in all intents and purposes as though the said application had not been made until the said special roll had been authenticated.
