NOTICE OF CEASING TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW
ZEALAND
Rice Research Laboratories Pty. Ltd. hereby gives notice
that it intends at the expiration of 3 months from the date
of the first publication of this notice in the Gazette to cease
to have a place of business in New Zealand.

IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955, and in the matter
of R. H. ABBOTT & CO. LIMITED:
NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand dated the 23rd day of May 1973 confirming
the reduction of the share capital of the above-named
company from $45,204 to $30,344 and the minute approved
by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the
company as altered, the several particulars required by the
above-mentioned Act was registered by the Registrar of
Companies on the 12th day of June 1973. The said minute
is in the words and figures following:
"The amount of capital of R. H. Abbott & Co. Limited
as altered by the Order of the Supreme Court confirming
the reduction of the share capital of the Company is $30,344
divided into 30,344 shares of $1 each and at the date
of registration of this Minute the amount of $1 is deemed
to be paid up on each share."

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice
is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes,
under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to
execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of
a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken
for road, and notice is hereby further given that the plan
of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the
office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street,
Pukekohe, and there open for inspection; all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment
of compensation, set forth the same in writing and
send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication
of this notice to the office of the Council and, if any
objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of
the time of the hearing.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties
Act 1956 and amendments, the Waitemata County Council
proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision
of waterworks, including a reservoir, on the properties
of Ralph Alister Boyd and Phyllis Karma Airey in Bush
Road, Waitakere; and for the purposes of such work the
lands in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. A
plan of the lands so required is deposited in the Council
Offices at 68-70 Greys Avenue, Auckland, and at the District
Office, Titirangi, where it is open for inspection during
ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the proposal
who wish to make any objection to the execution of the
said public work or to the payment of compensation, shall
set forth such objection in writing and send the written
objection so as to reach the County Clerk, Waitemata County
Council, Grey Avenue, Auckland 1, on or before Wednesday,
18 July 1973. A public hearing of any such objection will
be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each
objector will be advised of the time and the place of the
hearing.

firstly, 3 roods and 20.9 perches, being Lot 10, D.P. 45396,
and part of Allotment 365, Parish of Waikomiti; and being
all the land in certificate of title, Volume 1547, folio 44,
and secondly, 2 roods, being Lot 11, D.P. 45396, and part
Allotment 365, Parish of Waikomiti, and being all the land
in certificate of title, Volume 1660, folio 96.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
NoIICE is hereby given that the Hawke's Bay County Council
proposes to take for road, under the provisions of the
Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule
hereto. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office
of the Council, situate in Browning Street, Napier, and is
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said
land should, if they have any objection to the taking of
the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment
of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the
written objection within 40 days of the first publication
of this notice to the said County Council at its office afore-
said, and that if any objection is made in accordance with
this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held,
unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING
Notice is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 1st day
of June 1973, cancelled the registry of Loyal Netherton
Lodge No. 9525, Register No. 312/5 (65), with registered
office at Netherton, a branch of the Auckland District of
the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows
(New Zealand) Friendly Society, on the ground that the
said branch has ceased to exist.
