Import Control Exemption Withdrawal Notice (No. 2) 1973

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Withdrawal Notice (No. 2) 1973.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in that Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

Explanatory Note—This note is not part of the notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice withdraws the exemptions from licence for woven polyethylene and polypropylene fabric, sacks and bags. Refer also to Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 12) 1973.


Approval of Qualified Persons for the Purpose Section 402 of the Companies Act 1955

Pursuant to section 402 of the Companies Act 1955 I hereby approve

James Owen Lygo, and
Gavan Michael Smith

partners in the firm of Messrs Kent, Brierley, and Barraclough, Chartered Accountants, 68 Pitt Street, Sydney, and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, to be qualified persons for the purposes of that section in respect of the accounts of The Mutual Life and Citizens’ Assurance Co. Ltd.

The approval of Randolph Vincent Agnew and James Owen Lygo as qualified persons in respect of the accounts of The Mutual Life and Citizens’ Assurance Co. Ltd., dated 3 March 1972 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 23 March 1972, is hereby revoked.

Officer Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

In terms of section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, as amended by the Oaths and Declarations Amendment Act 1972, I have authorised the holder for the time being of the office in the service of the Crown specified in the Schedule below to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Revocation of the Appointment of Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

In terms of section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, as amended by the Oaths and Declarations Amendment Act 1972, I have revoked the appointment of the holders for the time being of the offices in the service of the Crown specified in the Schedule below as officers authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Change of the Purpose of Reserves and Vesting in the Hauraki Plains County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto from a reserve for a resting place for travelling stock to a reserve for recreation purposes, and changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto from a reserve for a camping site to a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, vests the said reserves in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains, for recreation purposes.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY

PART section 14, Block II, Piako Survey District: area, 4 acres 2 roods 30 perches (1.8969 hectares), more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/689B deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red (S.O. Plans 27480, 33348).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY

PART Section 17, Block II, Piako Survey District: area, 6 acres and 2 roods (2.6304 hectares), more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/689B deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red (S.O. Plans 27480, 33348).

Change of Purpose of Part of a Reserve and Vesting in the Westport Borough Council and the Buller County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for harbour purposes to a reserve for aerodrome purposes, and further, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Westport and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Buller, in trust, for that purpose.
