CORRIGENDUM

IN the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1973 published in the Gazette, 5 April 1973, No. 29, p. 690, the Classes of Goods which appear in the First Schedule, Exemptions Created, should be amended to agree with the Classes of Goods specified in the original notice signed by the Minister of Customs as follows:

Under Tariff Items Ex 73.10.100, Ex 73.10.201, Ex 73.10.209 for the words “flats, viz: . . . 3½ in. and 4 in. wide by ¼ in. thick);” read “flats, viz: . . . 3½ in. and 4 in. wide by ¼ in. to ½ in. thick);”.

Under Tariff Items Ex 73.11.001 to Ex 73.11.159 for the words “equal angles, viz: . . . 3½ in. by ¼ in., 3½ in. by ⁵⁄₁₆ in., 3½ in. by ³⁄₈ in., 3½ in. by ¼ in.;” read “equal angles, viz: . . . 3½ in. by ¼ in., 3½ in. by ⁵⁄₁₆ in., 3½ in. by ³⁄₈ in., 3½ in. by ½ in.;”.

Revoking a Proclamation Declaring an Area in the Wellington Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge (Suburban Sections 88 and 94, Township of Featherston)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation issued on the 12th day of March 1946*, declaring an area of land in the Township of Featherston, and in the Wellington Acclimatisation District, to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 31st day of May 1973.

The Rodney County Foreshores and Waters Control Order 1973

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of May 1973

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and, in relation to clause 3 (b) of the order, on the request of the Rodney County Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Rodney County Foreshores and Waters Control Order 1973.

(2) This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. In this order—

“The Act” means the Harbours Act 1950:

“The Council” means the Rodney County Council:

“Foreshore” means such parts of the bed, shore, or banks of a tidal water as are covered and uncovered by the flow and ebb of the tide at ordinary spring tides:

“Minister” means the Minister of Transport and includes any officer, person, or authority acting by or under the direction or authority of the Minister.

  1. There is hereby granted to the Council for a period of 21 years from the commencement of this order, subject to the provisions of sections 8A and 165 of the Act and to the conditions specified in the Third Schedule to this order—

(a) The control of the foreshore described in the First Schedule to this order:

(b) The control of the waters specified in the Second Schedule to this order.

  1. The Order in Council made on the 8th day of October 1964* granting control to the Council of part of the foreshore described in the First Schedule to this order is revoked.
