Approval of Revolving Amber Lights on Traffic Signals Repair Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting of one revolving yellow or amber light on any motor vehicle used principally for the installation, maintenance, or repair of electronic traffic signals, subject to the following conditions:

(1) The light shall only be used when it is essential for the vehicle to be parked in a position which obstructs the path of moving traffic.

(2) The light shall not be used while the vehicle is moving.

(3) The vehicle shall be painted a conspicuous colour and shall have the name of the owner or operator clearly painted on the sides and rear.

(4) Suitable and adequate warning signs shall be displayed while the light is being used.

Assigning Foreshore Licence for a Pipeline Site at Mill Bay, Mangonui Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation authorised by the Minister of Transport pursuant to section 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give notice that the licence granted to James Brittenden and Joan Brittenden on 26 November 1963* to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Mangonui Harbour at Mill Bay is hereby assigned to Joseph Edwin James Sainsbury and Dorothy Florence Sainsbury.

Licensing W. R. Paterson and Son Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Landing Place at Poukourou River, Bay of Islands

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation authorised by the Minister of Transport pursuant to section 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby license and permit W. R. Paterson and Son Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Poukourou River in Bay of Islands, as shown on plan M.D. 10596 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a landing place as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of July 1973.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be six dollars ($6) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.
