EXPLANATORY NOTE—This note is not part of the notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice exempts from import control calcium hydroxide, copper oxide (other than cuprous oxide) and sodium silicate. The exemption under Tariff Chapters 28 and 29 has been consolidated. Sodium hydroxide has been included in the general exemption and simazine, atrazine and propazine have been added to the exclusions from that exemption.

Cancellation of Vesting in Taranaki Hospital Board and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Taranaki Hospital Board and revokes the reservation as a reserve for hospital purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Change of the Purpose of Parts of a Reserve and Vesting in the Wellington Hospital Board

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of those parts of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for vice regal residence to a reserve for general hospital purposes, and further vests the said reserve in the Wellington Hospital Board, in trust, for that purpose.

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Paparua and revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration that Land is a Public Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Matamata County Council on 12th day of October 1972.

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the said County in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for public utility purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”
