Declaring Road in Block III, Waimea Survey District, Grey County, to be a Government Road and to be Stopped

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby: (a) declares the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto to be a Government road; and (b) stops the said road.

ALL that piece of road containing 15.4 perches adjoining Crown land situated in Block III, Waimea Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 26558 (S.O. 5722) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Validating Proceedings in Connection with the West Coast Electric Power Board’s Loan of $65,000

WHEREAS the West Coast Electric Power Board is proceeding by way of special order to raise a loan of $65,000, to be known as the “Works Loan No. 3 1972”:

And whereas the public notice of the special order made by the said Board to raise the said loan was irregular or defective in that, contrary to subsection (3) of section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, as amended by section 8 of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1971, the said public notice stated that demands for a poll of the ratepayers of the West Coast Electric Power Board district were to be received at the office of the said Board not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution to raise the said loan:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the said district have not been misled by such irregularity or defect and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, as amended by section 15 of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1971, the Minister of Finance hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said public notice had complied with the provisions of subsection (3) of section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 as amended as aforesaid.

Cancellation of Vesting in the Horowhenua County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua and revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for esplanade purposes over the land described in the schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Napier City Council in such manner, at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.
