Declaring Road in Block XVIII, Waikari Survey District, to
be a Government Road and to be Stopped

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works hereby: (a) declares the piece of road described in
the Schedule hereto to be a Government road; and (b) stops
the said road.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of road containing 3 roods and 27 perches
situated in Block XVIII, Waikari Survey District, adjoining or
passing through Lot 16, D.P. 1879, being part Rural Section
7538; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 25344 (S.O. 11533) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.

Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Varying Determinations by the Minister of Customs under
Section 121 of the Customs Act 1966

PURSUANT to section 121 of the Customs Act 1966, the
Minister of Customs hereby varies, in the manner set out
in the Schedule hereto, the determinations made under the
said section on the 22nd day of March 1967 and published
in the Gazette on the 22nd day of March 1967 at pages 417
and 418, and varied by notice in the Gazette of 17 September
1970 on page 1676, and amended by notice in the Gazette
of 22 December 1971 on page 3034.

SCHEDULE

PART I of the determination is amended by omitting from
column No. 2 thereof the words: “and undercarriage springs,
but not including electric batteries (accumulators), and
bumper bars” (set forth in subparagraph (b) and para-
graph (i) of the reference to Class I motor vehicles) and
by substituting the words “but not including undercarriage
springs, electric batteries (accumulators), and bumper bars”.

NOTE—This amends a drafting error in the determina-
tions published in the Gazette on the 22nd day of March
1967 at pages 417 and 418.

Part I of the determinations is amended by omitting from
column No. 2 thereof the words: “The windows and back-
light may be glazed and”.

Part II of the determinations is amended at paragraph 5,
by omitting the words “Radiator assemblies” and adding
the words “Radiator assemblies, including pressure caps”.

This variation of the aforesaid determinations shall take
effect on the 1st day of February 1973.

Parts II, III, and IV of the determinations are
amended by renumbering paragraphs 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and
12 to read paragraphs 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

This variation of the aforesaid determinations shall take
effect on the 1st day of February 1973.

Part II of the determinations is amended by adding the
following paragraph.

“7 Except with the special permission of the Minister,
and under conditions prescribed by him, none of the under-
mentioned goods shall, if imported, be used in the assembly,
completion, or manufacture of motor vehicles of the kinds
mentioned in class I of part I hereof, or of class II of part I
hereof in respect of vehicles not exceeding 5,000 lb gross
laden weight, viz:

(i) on and after the 1st day of August 1973, the follow-
ing—
Glass, curved or flat
Interior trim components of hardboard, card-
board or similar materials
Battery cables and earth straps
Floor coverings
