PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointments
Squadron Leader Kenneth Wilfred Claydon, from the Royal Air Force, is appointed to a short-service commission for a period of 5 years, in the rank of Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 23 February 1973, followed by 4 years on the Reserve of Air Force Officers.
Flight Lieutenant R. J. Metcalfe is appointed to a permanent commission with effect from 22 February 1973.
Flight Lieutenant J. H. Seward is appointed to a permanent commission with effect from 27 February 1973.

Squadron Leader R. A. Brill is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 31 December 1976, with effect from 28 February 1973.
Flying Officer William Michael Benge is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 13 March 1985, with effect from 27 January 1973.
