State Forest Land Set Apart as a Recreation Area
PURSUANT to section 63 of the Forests Act 1949, the Minister of Forests hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a recreation area available for public recreation but subject to the following conditions—
(1) That no person may camp on or remain overnight in the recreation area.
(2) That no unauthorised person may enter into the land with any firearm or any like device capable of propelling a missile of any type, or with any trap or snare of any type.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY—WHANGAREI COUNTY
PART Allotment 45 and Allotments 46, 52, 55, 56, 57, and 58, Kaitara Parish, situated in Blocks XI and XII, Purua Survey District: area, 1,464 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less.
As shown on plan marked N. 20/3 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking Appointment of and Appointing Licensing Authorities for Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences
PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 18 of the Motor Vehicle Taxation Regulations 1966*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from the 1st day of January 1974, that part of the warrant dated 13 November 1968† appointing the Ngaruawahia Borough Council as the licensing authority for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the Ngaruawahia Borough; and hereby appoints, as from the 1st day of January 1974, the Raglan County Council to be the licensing authority for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the Ngaruawahia Borough:
Provided that the Secretary for Transport shall be the licensing authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles owned by the Crown, as provided by subclause (1) of the said regulation.

The Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice No. 1, 1973
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The notice* under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 16th day of December 1940, which relates to the roads in Whakatane County in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Whakatane County at Ohope Beach:
Pohutukawa Avenue (from Whakatane-Kutarere Road to the eastern end of the bridge over the Maraetotara Stream).
The right of way fronting Ohope Beach (from its north-western end to the intersection of Whakatane-Kutarere Road and Pohutukawa Avenue).

The Traffic (Masterton Borough) Notice No. 2, 1973
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Masterton Borough) Notice No. 2, 1973.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The Traffic (Masterton Borough) Notice No. 1, 1973†, dated the 5th day of October 1973, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 27 and 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads in Masterton Borough, is hereby revoked.

Chamberlain Street (from the south-western boundary of Masterton Borough to Upper Plain Road).
Gordon Street (from the northern boundary of Masterton Borough to a point 120 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said street from Kitchener Street).

Kibblewhite Road (from the north-eastern boundary of Masterton Borough to Upper Plain Road.
Ngaumutawa Road (from Akura Road to a point 320 metres measured north-easterly generally along Ngaumutawa Road from Renall Street).
Railway Road (from the western boundary of Masterton Borough to Cornwall Street).
South Belt Road.
Upper Plain Road (from the north-western boundary of Masterton Borough to a point 240 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Railway Road).

Ngaumutawa Road (from a point 320 metres measured north-easterly generally along Ngaumutawa Road from Renall Street to a point 800 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Renall Street).
SITUATED within Masterton County—adjacent to Masterton Borough:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from the south-western boundary of Masterton Borough to the north-eastern end of the Waingawa Bridge).
Upper Manaia Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 80 metres measured northerly generally along the side road from the said highway).
