19. Blenheim-Nelson Notional Railway

20. General—For the purpose of computing charges for goods, livestock, and parcels, the
    main road between Blenheim and Nelson is deemed to be a railway connected to the South
    Island system at Blenheim.

2. Computation of Charges—Charges on a continuous journey basis will apply to con-
   signments from or to any of the “stations” named above to or from any station on the South
   Island system via Blenheim. Except under special arrangements goods, livestock, and parcels
   will NOT be accepted for carriage at railway rates for journeys confined solely to the road
   section, e.g., from Blenheim to Nelson.

3. Handling Charges—Those classes of goods for which a loading or unloading charge is
   prescribed in the General Scale of Charges forwarded from or received at any “station”,
   Renwick to Nelson inclusive, are to be charged one handling charge in respect of that station.

A charge of $1.76 per four-wheeled wagon n.o.s. $2.36 per Hc or Jc wagon, and $3.55
per bogie wagon will be made for livestock. Handling charges at Blenheim are NOT to be
applied in respect of through goods transhipped from rail to road or vice versa at Blenheim.
