GOODS

  1. The charge at Class E single rate with loading and/or unloading charges added shall
    not be greater than when computed at Class D rate.

  2. Handling and tallying—The department may require all loading, unloading, or tallying to
    be performed by the owners. Where loading, unloading, or tallying is performed by the
    department, the following charges will be made:

Exceptions—No charge will be made for loading, unloading, or tallying when goods are
charged at Class E plus 25 or 50 percent except where in section 68 it is provided that the
loading and unloading be performed by the owners.

  1. Minimum Charges—Except where otherwise specified, any less quantity than the
    minimum prescribed will be charged at such minimum, or on actual weight at Class E plus
    50 percent, whichever is cheaper.

  1. Handling—The department may require all loading, unloading, or tallying to be
    performed by the owners. Where any such service is performed by the department, charges as
    provided in section 122 will be made.

  2. General—Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions of this section, the department
    may require all wagons containing goods of Class F to be loaded to full carrying capacity,
    provided the gauge limit is not exceeded.

  3. Firewood (in lengths)—The following quantities for the various classes of firewood in
    lengths may be loaded into LA or Lc wagons; such quantities will be charged on the following
    standard weights:

  1. A “tolerance” of 0.5 m³ will be allowed for each wagon-load of firewood.

  2. Wagons which are overloaded to such an extent as to be considered unsafe to travel or
    require adjustment of load will be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of section 124.

Freight charges will be computed as follows:

(i) Wagons loaded with the On the standard weights shown in paragraph 5 for
quantities specified in the various classes of firewood and wagons used.

(ii) Any quantity of firewood conveyed in a wagon in excess
of that specified in paragraph 5 plus the tolerance
of 0.5 m³ (paragraph 6)

actual measurement bears to the specified measurement and standard weight.
(iii) Wagons loaded with less than the specified quantities
on firewood (paragraph 5)

(iv) When wagon is supplied of
On the scheduled standard weight for type of wagon
capacity higher than that ordered, plus any excess quantity, in accordance
ordered with clause (ii).

  1. Firewood loaded in bogie wagons, or blocks and bags of firewood in any wagon, will
    be charged on actual weight, subject to the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 of this section.
