NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing
of the petition must serve on or send by post, to the above-
named, notices in writing of his intention to do so. The
notice must state the name, address and description of
the person, or, if a firm, the name address and description
of the firm and an address for service within 3 miles
of the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington and must
be signed by the person or firm or his or their solicitor
(if any) and must be served on, or, if posted, must be
sent by post, in sufficient time to reach the abovenamed
petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 p.m. in
the afternoon of the 4th day of December 1973.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council
intends, under the provisions of the Counties Act 1956, to
execute a certain work, namely, a road, and for the purpose
of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928,
and notice is further given that a plan showing the land
proposed to be so taken is deposited at the office of the
Council situated at Springs Flat, Kamo, and may there be
inspected, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office
hours.

All persons affected by the proposed work or by the
taking of the said land, and who have an objection thereto,
not being an objection as to the amount or payment of
compensation, must state their objections in writing and
send the same to the County Clerk, Whangarei County
Council, P.O. Box 4102, Kamo, so as to reach him not later
than 8 January 1974, being 40 days after the first publication
of this notice. If any objection is received a public hearing
of the same will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and
place of such hearing.

Both situated in Block IV, Ruakaka S.D., and more
particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 48670.

The land described is on the Whangarei Heads Road at
McLeods Bay.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otahuhu Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widen-
ing of Queen Street, Otahuhu, and for the purpose of such
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the Otahuhu Borough Council Chambers at 476 Great
South Road, Otahuhu, and is there open for inspection.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said land should, if they
have any objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of the said land, not being objec-
tions to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth
such objections in writing and send the same within 40 days
of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk,
Otahuhu Borough Council, 476 Great South Road, Otahuhu.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the
objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ashburton Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide a sports
and pleasure ground; and for the purposes of such public
work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan
of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
public office of the Town Clerk of the said Council, situated
in Havelock Street, Ashburton, and is open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during the normal Council office
hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any objec-
tion to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land must state their objection, not being
an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
in writing and send the same within 40 days from the date
of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk
at the Council Office, Cameron Street, Ashburton.

If any objection is made as aforesaid, a public hearing
of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and
place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL those parcels of land situated in Block IX of the
Ashburton Survey District variously being described:

Firstly, as containing ten acres one rood and twenty-two
perches (10 a 1 r 22 p), be the same a little more or less,
being Lot 189 on Deposited Plan 235, part Rural Sections
6084 and 7863, and all the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 167, folio 14 (Canterbury
Registry), and

Secondly, as containing ten acres one rood and thirty-
three perches (10 a 1 r 33 p), be the same a little more
or less, being Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan 23831.

is required to be stopped; and notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the road required to be stopped is deposited
at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South
Road, Ngaruawahia, and there open for inspection. All

or by the stopping of the said road should, if they have
