Land Taken for Road in Waimairi County
DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward
Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and shall vest
in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Waimairi as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and
I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the 19th day of November 1973.

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XI, Christchurch
Survey District, described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area
vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a
school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed
and discharged from every educational trust affecting the
same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or ease-
ments affecting the same at the date hereof.

COUNTIES
SECTION 20, Cave Village, situated in Block IX, Pareora
Survey District: area, 8827 square metres, more or less. All

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto,
such land being no longer required for the purpose for which
it was acquired.

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
authorises J. Wattie Industries Ltd. to reclaim from Waikanae
Creek, Gisborne, an area of 2688.6 square metres,
approximately, as shown hatched red on plan M.D. 15076
and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport
at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
appoints
David John Boswell
of Wanganui, to be a member of the Local Government
Commission on the 1st day of February 1974 for a term
of 3 years expiring on the 31st day of January 1977.
John Charles Derbie Mackley, M.B.E., ceases to be a
member of that Commission from the 31st day of December
1973.

PURSUANT to sections 18, 19, and 20 of the Maori Purposes
Act 1931 and the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints
William Tearoangi Emery
to be a member of the Lake Rotoiti Scenic Board in place
of Hauotu Kenneth Eru, vacated office.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 2nd day of November 1973.
