Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the
land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for road.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
-
This order shall be deemed to have come into force on
the 1st day of November 1973. -
The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
excluded from the district of Southland County and included
in the district of Invercargill City. -
The alteration of boundaries hereby made shall be
deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corpora-
tions Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
PARTS Lots 3 and 4, D.R.P. 153 and Lot 1, D.P. 3408, being
parts Section 8, Block II, Invercargill Hundred: area,
6.4019 hectares, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume

Pursuant to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His
Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:
REGULAR FORCE
Colonels' List
Colonel L. W. Wright, M.B.E., to be acting Brigadier with
effect from 27 August 1973, and temp. Brigadier with effect
from 3 September 1973.
ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY
2nd Lieutenant M. J. R. Pearce to be Lieutenant with
seniority and effect from 20 June 1973.
Supernumerary List
The engagement of Major F. H. Gibbison is extended
until 5 September 1974.
ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS

Captain with effect from 21 June 1973.

2nd Lieutenant George Ernest Te Hira is transferred to
the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Infantry
Regiment in the rank of 2nd Lieutenant with effect from
1 August 1973.
ROYAL N.Z. ARMY MEDICAL CORPS
Lieutenant Vernon Cyril Goodwin, R.S.H.DIP.PHI., A.M.R.S.H.,
is posted to the Retired List with effect from 19 September
1973.
Y37420 Warrant Officer Class II Garry Theodore Palenski,
Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, is appointed to a com-
mission in the rank of Lieutenant with seniority and effect
from 13 July 1973, and is re-engaged until 12 July 1978.

ENGINEERS
Captain K. A. Lord to be temp. Major with effect from
1 August 1973.
ROYAL N.Z. DENTAL CORPS
The seniority of Captain P. J. Clarke, B.D.S., M.D.S.(OTAGO),
F.A.C.D.S., is ante-dated to 13 July 1967.
Captain G. A. Williams, B.D.S., is re-engaged until 7 Novem-

Chaplain 3rd Class F. Harrison (Church of England) is
re-engaged for a period of 3 years with effect from 1 August
