CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work, namely, for street diversion, pursuant to the provisions of section 191 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

Every person affected should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or the payment of compensation, and lodge the written objection at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch, within 40 days from the 29th day of November 1972, being the date of the first publication of this notice, and if any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be notified of the time and place of such hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 24.4 perches, or thereabouts, situated in the City of Christchurch, being part of Rural Section 235, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 326, folio 96 (Canterbury Registry). This description refers to the property known as 236 Brougham Street, Christchurch.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan showing the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman, Solicitors, 335 Wellington Road, Marton, and is there open for inspection, without fee, during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection to the County Clerk, Rangitikei County Council Chambers, High Street, Marton, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

THOSE pieces of land at Rangatira Road, Hunterville, containing 1 acre, coloured blue on S.O. Plan 28063, and 0.1 of a perch, 9.8 perches, 2 perches, and 29.4 perches, coloured blue, edged blue, on S.O. Plan 28063, situated in Block VI, Ongo Survey District, being part Hapopo Block, and being parts of Lot 29 on Deposited Plan 344, and being parts of the land comprised in certificate of title 52/252 (Wellington Registry).

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Wanaka Urban Drainage Area taken on the 21st day of November 1972 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $470,000, to be known as the Wanaka Sewerage Loan 1972, for the purpose of providing a sewerage scheme for the Wanaka County Town, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 992
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ..... 189
The number of informal votes was ..... 3

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

NEW ZEALAND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS

These are not now available from Government Bookshops but may be obtained from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, $5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.
