Exemption from Jurisdiction of State Services Tribunal and of Any Single Service Tribunal

PURSUANT to the State Services Remuneration and Conditions of Employment Act 1969, the Minister of State Services hereby excludes from Tribunal jurisdiction the position in the State Services specified in the Schedule hereto, on the ground that the said position involves substantial responsibility, not only for management but also for formulating and advising on policy, and declares that this position is excluded from Parts II, III, and IV of the State Services Remuneration and Conditions of Employment Act 1969.

The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 1972

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

1 (a) This notice may be cited as the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 1972.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1972.

  1. The rate of interest that may be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys invested by the Public Trustee as agent of any principal in the Common Fund of the Public Trust Office pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 shall in each case be that which is agreed upon between the Public Trustee and the principal but not exceeding:

(a) 5 percent per annum where the term of the agency is 2 years;

(b) 6 percent per annum where the term of the agency is 3 years;

(c) 6½ percent per annum where the term of the agency is 4 years;

(d) 6¾ percent per annum where the term of the agency is 5 years.

  1. Nothing in this notice shall be deemed to affect the rate of interest that may be paid on any moneys so invested before the date of the coming into force of this notice.

The Traffic (Taupo Borough) Notice 1972

PURSUANT to subclause 5 of regulation 18 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taupo Borough) Notice 1972.

  2. The Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights at the places described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of Regulation 18, subclause 4, of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taupo Borough outside the Taupo Fire Station at the points marked on the plan T.T. 4037 deposited in the Head Office of the Ministry of Transport, Wellington.

The Traffic (Otorohanga County) Notice No. 1, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otorohanga County) Notice No. 1, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purpose of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  4. The Traffic (Otorohanga County) Notice No. 1, 1969 dated the 10th day of February 1969* under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Otorohanga County, is hereby revoked.

  5. The Traffic (Otorohanga County) Notice No. 1, 1969 dated the 5th day of August 1969† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Otorohanga County, is hereby revoked.


FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Otorohanga County at Otorohanga:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of Ouruwhero Road 12 chains measured northerly generally along the said road from Mountain View Road; thence north-easterly generally by a right line to the northern end of Long View Crescent; thence due east by a right line to the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway Line; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern side of the said railway line to the southern side of the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth); thence easterly generally along the southern side of the said State highway to a point opposite the eastern end of Thompson Avenue; thence southerly generally by a right line to a point on the eastern side of Rangiatea Road 32 chains measured south-easterly generally along Rangiatea Road from Karaka Road; thence due west by a right line across Rangiatea Road to the eastern bank of the Waipa River; thence westerly and northerly generally along the said bank of the Waipa River to a point due west of the commencing point; thence due east by a right line to the commencing point.

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the northern end of the bridge over the Waipa River to a point 9 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Otewa Road).


SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Otorohanga County at Otorohanga:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the eastern end of the bridge over the North Island Main Trunk Railway to a point 8 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Bluck Road).

Glenview Avenue.

Old Te Kuiti Road (from Otewa Road to a point 32 chains measured southerly generally along Old Te Kuiti Road from Otewa Road).

Otewa Road (from No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to a point 56 chains measured easterly generally along the said road from the said highway).
