Notice of Intention to Take Land

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, as authorised by section 268 of the Municipal Corporation Act 1954, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of electricity works (an electrical substation) in the Borough of Taupo on the lake side of State Highway No. 1 adjacent to the Waipahihi Stream outlet, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Taupo Borough Council, Story Place, Taupo, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the public work or by the taking of the land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Taupo Borough Council, Story Place, Taupo; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the Borough of Taupo 0 acres 0 roods 1.2 perches, more or less, being part of Waipahihi C74 Block situated in Block II, Tauhara Survey District, and being more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan numbered 46527 and coloured blue thereon.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO HAVE LAND PROCLAIMED AS STREET

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and their respective amendments and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work, namely, to have proclaimed as street that area of Town Belt land adjoining Palliser Road, Wellington, described in the Schedule hereto, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land which is required to be proclaimed as street is deposited in the public office of the said Council in the Municipal Office Building, Mercer Street, in the said City and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the proclaiming of the said land as street should, if he has any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the proclaiming of the said land as street, send his written objection within 1 calendar month from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office. And notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of that objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 acre and 21 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 10507, and being part Town Belt situated in Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 427, folio 150, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels).

As the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan No.28203, and thereon coloured blue.

Every person affected should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or the payment of compensation, and lodge the written objection at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch, within 40 days from the 9th day of November 1972, being the date of the first publication of this notice, and if any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be notified of the time and place of such hearing.

ALL that piece of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing 31.2 perches, or thereabouts, being Lots 17 and 18, Deposited Plan 544, part Rural Section 235, and being also all the land described in certificates of title, Volume 246, folio 77, and Volume 210, folio 69 (Canterbury Registry). NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL FOR ALBANY RIDING DEVELOPMENT LOAN

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the Albany Riding taken on the 11th day of November 1972 on the proposal of the above-named authority to raise a loan of $276,800 to be known as the Albany Riding Development Loan, for the purpose of constructing footpaths and kerb and channel and roading improvements in Albany Riding, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 414
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 190
The number of informal votes was 6

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
