Traffic Regulations—RNZAF Police Vehicles Exempted from Interior Door Handles

PURSUANT to regulation 25A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts police vehicles operated by the RNZAF from the requirements of subclause 2 of regulation 50 of the said regulations in so far as it relates to the fitting of a door handle for opening the door of the rear compartment from inside, provided that whenever apprehended personnel are being transported they are accompanied by a member of the RNZAF police who carries a device capable of opening the door from inside the compartment.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 19 September 1972 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville via New Plymouth) from the southern boundary of Te Kuiti to its junction with No. 4 State Highway, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 9 of plans M.O.W. 17961 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Te Kuiti, and there available for public inspection to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 October 1972 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 56 State Highway (Palmerston North to Himatangi) from its junction with Pyke Road to its junction with Kellow Road, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 3 of plans M.O.W. 34731 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Palmerston North, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 October 1972 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui to Bluff) from a point opposite the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7915, part Block XXII, Rangitikei District, C.T. 372/52, to its junction with Calico Line, as more particularly shown on plan M.O.W. 34672 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Wanganui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

PURSUANT to section 330 and 331 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Wanganui 1972, No. 5.

  2. The Crown land within the meaning of the Land Act 1948 described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
