The Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 1, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 1, 1972.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

3. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 20th day of April 1966†, which relates to No. 6 State Highway and Gillespies Beach Road is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Westland County at Fox Glacier:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) (from a point 22 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Gillespies Beach Road to a point 26 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Gillespies Beach Road).

Gillespies Beach Road (from No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) to a point 44 chains measured generally westerly along the said road from the said State highway).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitomo County) Notice No. 1, 1972.

2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

4. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 6th day of June 1962*, which relates to Waitomo County at Waitomo, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Waitomo County at Waitomo:

Hangatiki-Caves Road (from a point 16 chains measured westerly generally along the Hangatiki-Caves Road from Waitomo Valley Road to a point 8 chains measured easterly generally along the Hangatiki-Caves Road from Waitomo Valley Road).

3. So much of the notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 8th day of March 1960*, which relates to Tuapeka County at Miller’s Flat is hereby revoked.
