NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, that the Lower Hutt City Council intends to change the purpose for which it holds the land described in the Schedule hereto, from its present designation of "in connection with street" to its proposed designation "for the purposes of a service lane", as forming part of a service lane to be constituted: And notice is hereby further given that any person objecting to the proposal to the change of purpose for which the land is so held, as above-described, is hereby required to lodge his objection in writing at the offices of the Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, not later than the 14th day of November 1972, being a period of forty (40) days from the date of first publication of this notice.

Wainuiomata Roading Improvement Redemption Loan 1972-$8,000

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 21 September 1972:

"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $8,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Wainuiomata Roading Improvement Loan 1961 of $100,000-issue of $12,800, which matures on 1 October 1972, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one two (.012) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 13 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, Counties Act 1956, and Health Act 1956:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain Public Work, namely, to take land for Oxidation Pond Site, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto, situated at Pauanui, is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk of the Council, situated in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the public work or by the taking of such land who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.
