DZ 7331/299 Draft amendment to NZS 7331: 1971 (BS 1552: 1967), Control plug cocks for low pressure gases.

NOTE—This amendment, when issued, will introduce: (a) minor dimensional differences from United Kingdom practice, which are already established in New Zealand; and (b) provision for Standard Certification Mark licensing.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon, may, upon application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 20 October 1972.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been reviewed by a committee of the Standards Council and have been recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Number and Title of Standard Specification

NZS 115–117: 1949 (BS 242, 243, and 259: 1936) Refined, raw, and boiled linseed oil for paints.

NOTE—A later edition of the relevant British standards has been proposed for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 20 October 1972.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 19 October 1972. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;

(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;

(c) Present and potential output; and

(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
