PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

The Police Salary Order (No. 2) 1972

PURSUANT to the Police Act 1958, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Police Salary Order (No. 2) 1972.
    (2) This order shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of October 1971.
  2. Salary of Commissioner of Police—The salary of the Commissioner of Police shall be as follows:
    Minimum Maximum Annual Increment
    $14,805 $15,514 $709
  3. Revocation—The Police Salary Order 1972 is hereby revoked.

Appointment of Chairman of Committee of Inquiry, Under Section 13 of the Industries and Commerce Act 1956, to Inquire Into the Distribution of Meat, Fish, Fruit, and Vegetables

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Industries and Commerce Act 1956, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby appoints
Keith Robert Congreve
to be chairman of the Committee of Inquiry into the Distribution of Meat, Fish, Fruit, and Vegetables, appointed by the Minister on the 7th day of June 1972, in place of James Noel Laurenson, now deceased.

Appointment of Maori Warden Under the Maori Welfare Act 1962

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 7 of the Maori Welfare Act 1962, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby appoints the person named in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be a Maori warden for the area of the Maori Association specified in the second column of the Schedule.
