Notice to Make Payment of Land Tax Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

Pursuant to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, notice is hereby given as follows:

Land tax on land held at the 31st day of March 1972 shall be due and payable in one sum, on the 7th day of October 1972, at any office of the Inland Revenue Department or at any post office with savings bank facilities.

Notice is hereby given that the Emergency Protection Authority has been requested to undertake an inquiry, in terms of the Tariff and Development Board Act 1961 and its amendments and to report, in terms of section 10d of that Act, concerning the following goods:

Frames with clasps for handbags and the like falling within Tariff Items 83.09.001, 83.09.002, 83.09.008, and 83.09.009.

Appointment and Revocation of Customs Temporary Examining Places in New Zealand

Pursuant to section 32 of the Customs Act 1966, I, Jack Alexander McLeod Kean, Comptroller of Customs, hereby appoint the place described in the First Schedule hereto to be a temporary examining place for the examination by the Customs of goods subject to the control of the Customs, and hereby revoke the appointment* of the place described in the Second Schedule hereto as a temporary examining place for the purpose of that Act.

The Standards Act 1965-Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated:

DZ 6222/289 Miniature circuit breaker distribution boards. Metric units.
DZ 6223/290 Enclosed distribution fuseboards. Metric units.

All persons who may be affected by these specifications and who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1. Additional copies are obtainable at 50c a copy from the same address.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 October 1972.
