HAWKE’S BAY CATCHMENT BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, Heretaunga Plains Flood Control Scheme, and for the purposes of or in connection with such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board situate in Vautier Street, Napier, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the said catchment board at its office, aforesaid, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and such objector will be advised of the said place of the hearing.

I, Phillip Henham, of Greymouth, pastry cook, hereby give notice that I have applied to the warden of the Westland Mining District at Hokitika for a water race running across part of freehold section 3187, Block VIII, Waimea Survey District, registered in the name of Passmore Stewart, of Kumara, farmer, and that such application is set down for hearing at the Warden’s Court at Hokitika on the 12th day of September 1972, at 10 a.m.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
AN ACT TO AMEND THE PAPAWAI AND KAIKOKIRIKIRI TRUSTS ACT 1943
NOTICE is hereby given that the Papawai and Kaikokirikiri Trusts Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives during the present session of Parliament a Private Bill, the short title of which is the “Papawai and Kaikokirikiri Trusts Amendment Act 1972”. The objects of the present Bill are to extend the powers of the Board to grant a lease of any farm land for a term not exceeding 7 years with, if the Board thinks fit, a right of renewal for one term of the same or any shorter period, and to include in such leases a condition to the effect that the lessee on the expiry of 6 months’ notice in writing from the Board shall surrender such part of the land in the lease as the Board may consider is usable for industrial or residential purposes, and that the rent for the balance of the land for the balance of the term shall be determined by valuation. The Bill is promoted by the Board whose address to which communications or notices may be sent is at the offices of Messrs Major, Gooding, Watson, and Hodson, Solicitors, 10 Park Street, Masterton. A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above-mentioned address.
