Licensing C. R. Brand and J. C. Austin to Occupy a Site for a Jetty at Whangawehi

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby licenses and permits C. R. Brand and J. C. Austin (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include their administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Whangawehi River as shown on plan marked M.D. 14421 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of January 1972.

(3) The premium payable by the licensees shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensees shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Amending Foreshore Licence for Wharf, Piako River

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence of 16 November 1971* authorising Parry Brothers Ltd. to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the Piako River at Pipiroa as shown on plan marked M.D. 7535 is hereby amended by deleting the expression “ten dollars ($10)” and substituting the expression “twenty dollars ($20)”.

The Motor Launch (Mataura River) Notice 1971—Southland County Council

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Mataura River) Notice 1971.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force until further notice.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water 300 yd long and 100 yd wide, 3 miles down stream from Gore at Beattie’s Beach on the Mataura River.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At the river’s edge on both sides of the river at each end of the above-described area there shall be placed notice boards measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962
No speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers between these notice boards.”

Approval of Qualified Persons for the Purposes of Section 402 of the Companies Act 1955

PURSUANT to section 402 of the Companies Act 1955, I hereby approve
