Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to authorise the holders for the time being of the offices in the service of the Crown specified in the Schedule below to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Amendment to Rules of the South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society

Pursuant to section 29 of the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that he has approved the following new rule made by the South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society to stand in place of rule 6 which was originally approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs on 1 October 1956:

"Only those persons who were members of the Society on the 31st day of August immediately preceding the date appointed for the holding of the annual general meeting shall be entitled to vote at the subsequent annual general meeting or to vote at any postal ballot for the election of officers of the Society, and for the purposes of every such ballot the register of members shall be closed as at the said 31st day of August."

Maori Land Development Notice

Whereas by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto the land described in that notice was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas the appellation of the land has been changed by subsequent order of the Maori Land Court; and whereas it is desired to release a certain parcel of that land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Palmerston North 1972, No. 3.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
