Setting Apart Land as a Maori Reservation
WHEREAS by notice dated 23 June 1971 and published in Gazette, 1 July 1971, No. 49, p. 1257, the land described in the First Schedule was set apart as a Maori reservation and whereas it is now desired to make an amendment to the said notice, now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows.
NOTICE

The reservation constituted by notice dated 23 June 1971 and published in Gazette, 1 July 1971, No. 49, p. 1257, relating to the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby cancelled.

The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of members of the Atihau-Whanganui tribe.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in Block V, Ikitara Survey District, and described as follows:

Land Surveyors' Examination, August-September 1972, New Zealand
It is hereby notified for general information that the New Zealand Survey Board will conduct an examination in Laws and Regulations Affecting Surveys for the registration of surveyors commencing at 9 a.m. on Friday, 11 August 1972.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Tuesday, 11 July 1972, and that the examination fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any written subject may present themselves for examination at any Chief Surveyor's office, or at the office of the District Surveyor at Rotorua or Whangarei, or as otherwise directed.
The oral and practical portion of the examination commences at 8.45 a.m., 25 September 1972, and all candidates must sit in Wellington. Applications, on the proper forms, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than 25 August 1972.
Certificates of practical experience, and a list of surveys carried out during the period of practical work, must reach the Secretary by 18 August 1972. Plans and all other evidence required by regulation 24 of the Survey Examination Regulations 1962, together with the results of stellar observations and computations, must be received by the Secretary not later than Monday, 18 September 1972.

Assigning Foreshore Licence for Slipway at Tutukaka
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Executive Officer, Harbours, Foreshores, and Pollution Section, Marine Department, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Marine and Fisheries pursuant to section 265A of the aforesaid Act, hereby gives notice that the licence granted to Thomas Cecil Audrey Watson on 3 February 1961* to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the harbour at Tutukaka is hereby assigned to Wynne Edmund Going.

Fixing the Ward Representation of the Waipa Pest Destruction District (Notice No. 298 Ag. 20891A)
PURSUANT to section 33 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Waipa Pest Destruction Board hereby fixes the number of members to be elected for each ward of its district to be that specified opposite the name of each ward in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to section 21 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Waipa Pest Destruction Board hereby gives notice that the Waipa Pest Destruction District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of March 1971*, is hereby divided into wards, the names and boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF TUHIKARAMEA WARD
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waipa County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle line of the North Island Main Trunk Railway and the middle line of Douch Road in Block X, Hamilton Survey District, and proceeding westerly along the middle line of Douch Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 24355; thence southerly to and along that boundary and the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 24355, and westerly along the southern boundary of that Lot 2 and its production to the western side of McGregor Road; thence northerly along that roadside to the northern boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 7308; thence westerly along that boundary and the northern boundary of part Allotment 364A, Ngaroto Parish, and its production to and along the northern and north-western boundary of Allotment 359A, Ngaroto Parish, to the westernmost corner of that allotment; thence southerly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Allotment 358, Ngaroto Parish; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Allotments 358, 119, and 118, Ngaroto Parish, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Mangaotama Stream; thence westerly along the middle of that stream to its confluence with the middle of the Waipa River, being the western boundary of the Waipa Pest Destruction District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1971, page 522; thence generally northerly and easterly along that district boundary to the middle of the North Island Main Trunk Railway in Block I, Hamilton Survey District; thence southerly along the middle of that railway to the point of commencement.
