SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Southland County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $47,000, known as the Otama Rural Water Supply Loan 1971, authorised to be raised by the Southland County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing high-pressure water for stock watering domestic purposes within the Otama Special Rating Area of the County, the Southland County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.225c in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the special rating area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland County Council held on 11 May 1972.

BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan 1972—$24,900
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $24,900, authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment on maturity of those portions of the Sewer Stormwater and Streets Loan 1962—$470,000 as will mature on 25 June, 9 July, and 12 November 1972, the said Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0147c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable over a period of 10 years in respect to the three issues uplifted or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was passed by the Onehunga Borough Council at a meeting held on Monday, 1 May 1972.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL
PENSIONER FLATS (WAIMAIRI ROAD) LOAN 1972—$36,000
Security Rate
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000, authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.000868c in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of capital value, of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi and that the rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
PATEA HARBOUR ENDOWMENTS FORESTRY LOAN 1972—$4,200
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Forestry Encouragement Act 1962, the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That for the purpose of providing charges on a loan of $4,200, authorised to be raised by the Patea County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of establishing and maintaining an afforestation area, the said Patea County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.000248c in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property comprising the County of Patea, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years, the loan being repayable in full, together with interest thereon, at its maturity.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by way of special order at a special meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 24 April 1972 and will be confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, 20 June 1972, at 7.30 p.m., in the Municipal Chambers, Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.
“Pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves by special order, instead of levying special rates to meet the annual charges payable in respect of the loans specified in the Schedule hereto, to make a rate of 1.108c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value on a uniform basis for the whole of the City of Gisborne, herein referred to as a consolidated special rate, on all rateable property within the city, being the amount calculated to yield 10 per cent more than the annual charges payable in respect of loans secured by those special rates and such rates be levied in whole or in part year by year without further proceeding by the Gisborne City Council.
