The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendments to New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendments are being circulated:

Number and Description of Draft

DZ 1525/276 Draft amendment to NZS 1525: 1962, Mains operated electric fence controllers.

NOTE—When issued, the amendment will allow the use of suitable high grade insulating materials which are now available for transformer bobbins. It will also introduce alternative marking and will make provision for the cord anchorage test to be carried out with the cord normally fitted.

DZ 2183/278 Draft amendment to NZS 2183: 1967, Domestic electric clothes-washing machines.

NOTE—When issued, the amendment will simplify the marking of supply terminals where this is appropriate.

All persons who may be affected by these amendments and who desire to comment thereon, may, upon application, obtain copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 9 June 1972.

The Standards Act 1965—Endorsement of Amendments to Overseas Specifications

Pursuant to section 17 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 28 April 1972, endorsed as suitable for use in New Zealand the under-mentioned amendments to the relevant endorsed overseas specifications:
