execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of land
for street, and for the purposes of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And
notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council situate in Chapel Street, and is open for
inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office
hours.

And persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or
payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing
and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Chapel
Street, Masterton.

If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection
will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each
objector will be advised of the time and the place of the
hearing.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land containing 0.6 of a perch, more or less,
being part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 22255, being part Section
139, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, situated in Block 1 of
the Otahoua Survey District, and being part of the land in
certificate of title, Volume A4, folio 889, and shown coloured
sepia on S.O. Plan 28463.

The said land is situate at the southern corner of the inter-
section of Queen Street and Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public
work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes
of that public work the portions of road described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further
notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion of road
required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga
County Council, Barke’s Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga,
and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the
said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or
the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the
said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or
payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing, and
send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication
of this notice to the Tauranga County Council at Taur-
ranga; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with
this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the
time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing
will be held.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waikanae Sewerage Loan 1972—$1,086,685
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $1,086,685, authorised to be raised by the Horo-
whenua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for

the purpose of reticulating the Waikanae Urban Drainage
Area for sanitary drainage and providing a sewage treatment
plant, including the purchase of land therefore, the said Horo-
whenua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1.5024c
in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable
property of the Waikanae Urban Drainage Area; and that
the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

R. O. BRADLEY ESTATE BILL
NOTICE TO INTRODUCE BILL

Notice is hereby given of the intention of the trustees of the
will and estate of Reginald Orton Bradley, late of Charteris
Bay in Canterbury, farmer, to apply for leave to introduce into
Parliament a Private Bill to be named the R. O. Bradley
Estate Bill.

The objects of the Bill are as follows:

  1. To incorporate the Board of Control of the Orton Bradley
    Park as a body corporate with perpetual succession.

  2. Within 1 year of the death of the last surviving life tenant
    under the will, to vest in the said Board all real and personal
    property forming the said estate and including 1,615 acres and
    3.2 perches, being the land comprised in certificates of title
    9B/871, 446/112, 499/209, and 514/247 (Canterbury Registry),
    situate at Charteris Bay, subject to all liabilities, to the intent
    that such property shall be held for the purposes of a Park for
    the use, benefit, and enjoyment of the people of New Zealand.

  3. No gift duty, stamp duty, land tax, or income tax shall
    be payable in respect of the transfer of assets to or operation
    of the Orton Bradley Park by the Board of Control.

The promoters of this Bill are Lionel Denis Cotterill, of
Christchurch, solicitor, and Edward James Bradshaw, of Christ-
church, accountant, being the trustees in the said will whose
address for service is at the offices of Messrs Duncan, Cotterill,
and Co., Third Floor, B.N.Z. House, Cathedral Square,
Christchurch, where a copy of the Bill may be inspected.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

THE KIRKPATRICK MASONIC INSTITUTE BILL 1972

THE Board of Governors of the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute
hereby gives notice that it intends to apply for leave to bring
in the above-mentioned Private Bill during the forthcoming
session of Parliament.

The objects of the Bill are to establish and incorporate a
Board of Governors for the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute
established at Nelson under the will of Samuel Kirkpatrick
of Nelson, deceased, presently known as Kirkpatrick House;
to make provision for the membership thereof; to provide for
the vesting in the Board of the land and other assets applic-
able to the purposes of the Institute, and for other purposes
connected therewith; to extend and vary the scope of the
charitable funds created by the said will relating to the
said Institute; and to broaden the powers of the trustee there-
under; and to consolidate and repeal the provisions of the
Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute Empowering Act 1930. The Bill
is promoted by the Board of Governors of the Kirkpatrick
Masonic Institute.
