THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000), authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending, improving, adding to, and reinforcing the reticulation in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County, the Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne, and for purchasing equipment, plant, tools, instruments, motor vehicles, land, and the construction of buildings, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0232c in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County, the Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is duly paid off."

COUNTY OF MANAWATU
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1972-$100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), authorised to be raised by the Manawatu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Manawatu County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0293c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Manawatu, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Hauraki Plains County taken on the 25th day of March 1972 on the proposal of the abovenamed local authority to raise a loan of $100,000, to be known as the Hauraki Plains County Administration Centre Loan 1971 for the purpose of erecting an administration centre for the County of Hauraki Plains, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 982
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 516
The number of informal votes was 14

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

R. O. BRADLEY ESTATE BILL
NOTICE TO INTRODUCE BILL

NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the trustees of the will and estate of Reginald Orton Bradley, late of Charteris Bay in Canterbury, farmer, to apply for leave to introduce into Parliament a Private Bill to be named the R. O. Bradley Estate Bill.

The objects of the Bill are as follows:

  1. To incorporate the Board of Control of the Orton Bradley Park as a body corporate with perpetual succession.

  2. Within 1 year of the death of the last surviving life tenant under the will, to vest in the said Board all real and personal property forming the said estate and including 1,615 acres and 3.2 perches, being the land comprised in certificates of title 9B/871, 446/112, 499/209, and 514/247 (Canterbury Registry), situate at Charteris Bay, subject to all liabilities, to the intent that such property shall be held for the purposes of a Park for the use, benefit, and enjoyment of the people of New Zealand.
