Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Taupo Borough Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Taupo, in trust, for that purpose.

Notice of Intention to Take an Interest in Land in Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District, Ohinemuri County, for the Purposes of a Road (State Highway No. 2 - Turners Hill - Mackaytown Section near Karangahake on the Left Bank of the Ohinemuri River at Mackaytown)

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the interest of South Pacific Mines Ltd. in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by the said company under and by virtue of mining licence No. 10702, issued in the Warden’s Court of the Hauraki Mining District at Paeroa on the 6th day of December 1948, is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land over which the mining licence is required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Paeroa and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said interest in the land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said interest in the land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
