Transport at the Sockburn Vehicle Testing Station, the cost of
which, $52,000, is to be shared by the Paparua County Council,
the Waimairi County Council, and the Riccarton Borough
Council by means of a joint special loan, the said Paparua
County Council makes a special rate of .00159c in the dollar
on the capital value of all the rateable property in the Paparua
County and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1972—$37,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the
loan of $37,000, to be known as the Renewal Loan 1972,
authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity
those portions of the Drainage Loan 1960—$70,000 and the
Theatre Purchase Loan 1961—$72,000, that mature on the 1st
day of March 1972, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal nought two one (.021) cents in the
dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru, and that
the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan
is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 7th day of
February 1972.

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Marton
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $20,000, authorised to be raised by the Marton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of renewing sections of the water reticulation system
of the Borough, the said Marton Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal point nought nine cents (.09c)
in the dollar ($) on the rateable value of all rateable property
in the Borough of Marton, and that the special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NELSON CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING THE NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section
53 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, that the following
resolution, by way of special order, was passed by the Nelson
City Council, at a special meeting held on the 25th day of
January 1972, and confirmed at a special meeting of the
Council held on the 22nd day of February 1972:

RESOLUTION

“That the Nelson City Council hereby resolves by way of
special order and, pursuant to section 53 of the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, that the total number of councillors
be increased to 12 exclusive of the Mayor.”

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL AREA
Alteration of Boundary

IN the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951,
and in the matter of the special area known as the sewer
extension loan special area, as defined by resolution of the
Board, dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, dated the 26th day of April
1923, and as from time to time altered under the provisions of
section 5, Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922,
and section 60, Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, by
resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch
District Drainage Act 1951, the Christchurch Drainage Board,
at a meeting held on the 22nd day of February 1972, resolved
that the boundary of the said special area, hereinbefore
described and defined, be further altered so as to
include in the said special area all those areas
briefly described in the Schedule hereto; and further,
resolved that the said areas shall form part of
and be included in the subdivision “B” of the said special area,
and that the boundaries of said subdivision “B” be altered
accordingly so as to include all those areas.
