PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims as road the land
described in the First Schedule hereto; also hereby proclaims
that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is
hereby closed, and shall, when so closed, vest in Thomas
William Mathews, of Te Pohue, hotelkeeper, and Aileen Mary
Mathews, his wife, as tenants-in-common in equal shares,
subject to memoranda of mortgage Nos. 228159 and 228160,
Hawke's Bay Land Registry; also hereby proclaims that the
road described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby closed,
and shall, when so closed, vest in Trevor John Hughes, of Te
Pohue, farmer, subject to memoranda of mortgage Nos. 168918,
159644, and 185463, Hawke's Bay Land Registry; also hereby
proclaims that the road described in the Fourth Schedule
hereto is hereby closed, and shall, when so closed, vest in
Trevor John Hughes, of Te Puhoe, contractor, subject to
memoranda of mortgage Nos. 197526 and 261284, Hawke's Bay
Land Registry; also hereby proclaims that the road described
in the Fifth Schedule hereto is hereby closed, and shall, when

Hawke's Bay Land Registry; and also hereby proclaims that
the road described in the Sixth Schedule hereto is hereby
closed and added to the land held for a permanent State
