Appointment of Member of the Government Insurance Investment Board

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of November 1971 Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council PURSUANT to subsections (1) and (2) of section 17 of the Government Life Insurance Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby reappoints George Robertson, Esquire,
to be a member of the Government Insurance Investment Board.

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT-GREY COUNTY LOTS 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, and 10, D.P. 1013, being part Sections 113 and 114 of Square 119, situated in Block IX, Mawheranui Survey District: area, 1 acre 1 rood 7.3 perches, more or less. All the balance of land in certificate of title, Volume 1B, folio 694, save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.

Exempting Lands in the Otago Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT-BOROUGH OF KAITANGATA FIRSTLY, Section 1, Block VI, Town of Kaitangata: area, 1 rood, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 165, folio 230 (S.O. Plan 14455). Secondly, Section 19, Block IX, Town of Kaitangata: area, 1 rood, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 21, folio 2 (S.O. Plan 14456). Thirdly, all the land in D.P. 5629, being part Sections 6, 7, and 8, Block VII, Town of Kaitangata: area, 33.45 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 309, folio 25. Save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals or metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons legally entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said lands.

Appointing Chairman of the Water Allocation Council

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General PURSUANT to section 8 of the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint Bruce William Spooner, of Wellington, civil engineer, to be a member of, and Chairman of the Water Allocation Council, from and including the 1st day of January 1972, to the 2nd day of May 1974, being the residue of the term for which his predecessor was appointed.
