Minister of Works hereby consents to the Waimairi County
Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule

ALL that piece of road containing 3 perches situated in Block
III, Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining
or passing through Lot 1, D.P. 20594, being part Rural Section
837; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 25654 (S.O. 11410) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Riccarton
   Borough) Notice No. 1, 1971.
2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
   excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section
   52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
   declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
   purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
   FIRST SCHEDULE
   Situated within Riccarton Borough adjacent to Waimairi
   County:
   No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) the section known as
   Blenheim Road (from a point 1 chain measured westerly
   generally along the said State Highway from Matipo Street
   to the western boundary of Riccarton Borough).
   SECOND SCHEDULE
   Situated within Riccarton Borough adjacent to Waimairi
   County:
   No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) the section known as

6. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949,
   dated the 12th day of May 1958†, which relates to Waihou in
   Piako County, is hereby revoked.

   State Highway No. 26 (Hamilton-Kopu) (from Campbell
   Street to a point 4 chains measured south-westerly generally
   along the said State Highway from McCarthy Street).
