Alteration to the Scale of Charges upon the New Zealand Government Railways
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
Pursuant to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways
hereby makes the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges made
on the 23rd day of March 1967 and published in the Supplement (dated 17th
day of April 1967) to the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th day of April 1967,
and additions and alterations thereto as published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the 12th day of September 1968, and in the New Zealand Gazette of the
15th day of October 1970, and the supplement dated 9th November 1970 to
the New Zealand Gazette of the 5th day of November 1970, and the Supplement
dated 26 November 1970 to the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th day of November
1970, and to the New Zealand Gazette of the 14th day of January 1971
and to the Local Rates Scale of Charges made on the 22nd day of March 1967
and published in the Supplement dated 10th day of April 1967 to the New
Zealand Gazette of the 6th day of April 1967, in force on the New Zealand
Government Railways, and hereby declares that such alterations shall come
into force on the 15th day of February 1971.

GOODS AND LIVESTOCK
68. Classification of Goods, Livestock, etc.
Paragraph 2, Subparagraph (b): Omit this subparagraph and substitute:
(b) All goods other than those classified in paragraph 4 hereof as Class "C" or Class "C"
plus a prescribed increase, or Class "D" or Class "E" plus a prescribed increase, or Class
"G" or Class "P" plus a prescribed increase, shall unless a request is made that such goods
be received, held, carried, delivered, or otherwise dealt with at the risk of the department
under and subject to the provisions of section 110, be received, held, carried, delivered, or
otherwise dealt with at the sole risk in every respect whatsoever of the owner.
