NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments, notice
is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes
under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other
Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to
execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of an
electrical substation in the City of Wellington and for the
purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land which is required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
Council in the Municipal Office Building, Mercer Street, and is
there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during
ordinary office hours, and that any person affected by the
execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land
should if he has any objection to the execution of the said
public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an
objection to amount or payment of compensation, send his
written objection within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice to the Town Clerk at his said office; and notice
is hereby further given that if any objection is made as afore-
said a public hearing of that objection will be held unless the
objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of that hearing, and at that hearing
each objector will be advised of the reasons for the proposed
taking.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement five-
tenths of a perch (0.5 p.), more or less, situated in Block X,
Port Nicholson Survey District, being part of Section 972,
Town of Wellington, and being part Lot 1, on Deposited
Plan 31404, as the said parcel of land is more particularly
delineated on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor
at Wellington, numbered 27979 and thereon coloured blue.
