Prohibition of Sale (Bread) Notice 1971

Pursuant to section 40 of the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Prohibition of Sale (Bread) Notice 1971.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 29th day of October 1971.

  2. Application of notice—This notice shall apply to the sale by any person of bread of any kind or class which was not offered for sale regularly on weekdays by that person before the 22nd day of October 1971.

  3. Prohibition of sale—The sale of any such bread by any person whomsoever is hereby absolutely prohibited unless a selling price or a maximum selling price applicable to the sale has been fixed or approved by a price order or a special approval under the Control of Prices Act 1947.
