Special Fares for South Island Limited

Fares—The following special fares will be charged for travel on No. 143 and 144 Southerner express service, between Christchurch and Invercargill and intermediate stations.

Return Journeys—The fare for a return journey will be double the single journey fare.

Bulk Travel Vouchers—Where bulk travel vouchers are presented for tickets to travel on the Southerner express service the actual mileage to be travelled is to be deducted.

Availability and Break of Journey—Tickets at the foregoing special fares will have the same availability (both as to period of time and break of journey) as ordinary tickets (section 2).

Children under 4 years of age in the charge of a responsible person travel free; 4 years of age and under 15 years of age half the above fares computed to the next 5 cents.

Bulk Travel Vouchers—Where bulk travel vouchers are presented for tickets to travel on the special express railcars, mileages to be deducted are to be calculated on the actual mileage plus 15 percent.
Note—Concession tickets, ordinary tickets, and tickets at reduced fares will not be available on Nos. 333 and 666 railcar services.
